Kanika (Sometimes spelled as Kaniha) - is a south Indian actress who acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies.
She was forced to entered into the Miss Chennai competition while she was supposed to perform in the event. She was elected as Miss India in 2001 and this lead to her film career.
She occasionaly worked as a playback singer, tv anchor and dubbing artist.
After her marriage with a US based software engineer in 2008, she surpised everyone by coming back with a Malayalam movie Bhagyadevatha alongwith actor Jayaram. In which she was nominated as best actress award in film fare awards.

Samvrutha Sunil (also known as Samvritha; born October 31, 1986) is a South Indian actress from Kerala, predominantly appearing in Malayalam films. She was introduced to the film industry through the Malayalam film Rasikan in which she paired opposite Dileep. She has appeared in Telugu and Tamil films as well. Samvrutha was born in Kannur district in the state of Kerala.She is also supposed to be an ideal actress in the selection of costumes

Samvrutha was born in Kannur, in North Kerala on October 31, 1986. She did her schooling at St. Teresas A.I.G.H.S. school in Kannur.She is engaged to Akhil,California who is a US based businessman. Akhil is from Calicut. Her Pictures were first taken by Frickxz and it was been taken into the movies.

Samvrutha's entry into the film industry happened with Rasikan (2004) with Dileep in the lead. The film was not a significant success but she was noted.[citation needed] After Rasikan, she played characterless movies like Nerariyan CBI (2005) and Chandrolsavam (2005). It was her character Sherly in Lal Jose's Achanurangatha Veedu (2005) which became an eye opener for her. She became more popular in the melodious song sequence "Pachappanamthathe.. " from the movie Nottam (2006), which had a catchy beat and was picturised well. Her characters in Moonamathoral (2006), Pothan Vava (2006) and Vaasthavam (2006) were memorable. Her latest releases, Hallo (2007), Arabikkatha (2007), Chocolate (2007), Minnaminnikoottam (2008), and Thirakkatha (2008), have been super hits. She appeared in a guest role in Priyanandanan's Pulijanmam (2006) and Rafi Mecartin's Hallo (2007).
After her Tamil debut Uyir, where she played the heroine opposite Srikanth. Her debut Telugu movie was Evadithe Nakenti (2007), a remake of Malayalayam hit Lion. Her hobbies include watching movies, riding her motorcycle. Her first film was to be titled Hello and directed by Ranjith had planned to do a film with the same title, but it got shelved. She was also considered for the movie Nandanam to play Balamani’s character, but the shooting was planned during her board examination. So her parents decided against her acting in that film.[2] Starting with Rasikan, Samvritha went on to do three films with director Lal Jose, to whom she fondly refers as her mentor.

Shweta Menon (Malayalam: ശ്വേത മേനോന്‍; born 23 April 1974) is an Indian model, film actress and television anchor. She has predominantly acted in Hindi and Malayalam language films, besides appearing in a number of Tamil productions.
Starting her career as an actress in Malayalam feature films in the early 1990s, she ventured into modeling and becoming noted, after participating and winning at several beauty pageants, which led to her debut in Bollywood. Following appearances in over 30 Hindi films, in which she generally conveyed a glamorous image, her acting career took a turn by the mid-2000s, with her returning to Malayalam cinema and accepting substantial roles.[1] She received critical praise and several accolades for her performance in Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha (2009).
Menon hails from Tirur in Kerala, but currently lives in Mumbai. Her father served the Indian Air Force while her mother remained a housewife.[2] She studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, East Hill, Kozhikode.[3]

She started her career as an actress in the Malayalam film Anaswaram (1991), directed by Jomon, playing the female lead opposite Mammootty, after which she focused on modeling.[3] She competed in the Miss India contest in 1994 and finished second runner up behind Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai.[2] She became the first Gladrags female super model in 1994 (Kelly Dorjee was the male super model) and then, Miss Asia Pacific runner up in 1994 in Manila Cebu Island, Philippines.[2][4] She is 5 feet, 7 inches tall. She subsequently made her debut in Bollywood and appeared in over 30 films; some of her Bollywood films include, Asoka (2001), Maqbool (2003) and Corporate (2006).
She returned to Malayalam in 2006 with Thantra and then went on to do famous Malayalam films such as Keerthi Chakra (2006) and the award-winning Paradesi. Her performance as Sarojini, a middle-class woman who fights against extreme odds, in the film, Madhya Venal earned her a special mention by Jury Chairman Bahman Ghobadi – famous Iranian director at the International Film Festival of Kerala. In 2010, she won the Kerala State Government's Best Actress for her portrayal of Cheeru, a village woman in the film Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha directed by Ranjith. She also won Mathrubhumi-Amrita TV Special Jury Award and the Asianet Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for the same film. In 2011, Shweta starred in the remake of Rathinirvedam, essaying the titular character, originally played by Jayabharathi.
Shweta recently approached a local court and the Women's Commission in Kerala after the distributor of her movie Kayam tied up with Musli Power, a sex stimulant drug, to jointly promote the movie. "Met with Womens' Commission regarding the Kayam ad and they offered me full backing. Thank you all and I hope justice will be done," she tweeted recently. While media profusely supported her with wide coverage, many saw it as a bold attempt by a female actor against what she perceived as gross injustice to her.

Besides working in films, she has anchored several TV, stage and film awards shows. She rose to popularity after presenting the musical programme, Star Wars on Kairali TV in 2008.[5] She won the Asian Television Award for Best Anchor for the same program. In Hindi, she hosted the group band based show, Razzmatazz on Zee TV along with actor Arshad Warsi.[6] The next television show which she did was Dancing Queen in 2008 on Colors and later in 2010, she anchored the Malayalam reality show, Honeymoon Travels on Surya TV. The show became an instant hit for Shwetha's accented Malayalam and her attempts to read from the original script without a formal learning in the language. Recently, she appeared as a contestant with her father in game show, Deal or No Deal on Surya TV. She is at present the anchor of the family based reality show Veruthe Alla Bharya in Mazhavillu Manorama.[7]

On 18 June 2011, she married Sreevalsan Menon, a native of Thrissur, who works in Mumbai. The ceremony took place at the Neythalappurath Sastha Ayappa temple, Valanchery, Kerala.[8]
Kapoor was raised in a middle-class Punjabi family. Her father works in the merchant navy and her mother is a housewife.

She started her film career through her debut Malayalam film Albudhadweep, alongside actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. Her Tamil debut was the leading role in Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu, alongside Bharath, and then subsequently in Vathiyar with Arjun. Her appearance Allare Allari, opposite Allari Naresh, was her first in Telugu. She has returned to the Malayalam scene in 2008 with Madambi.
She has two additional Tamil films to date: Arputha Theevu (dubbed from Malayalam), which was released in September 2006, and Vathiyar, which was released on Diwali.
Jayamalini (or Jaya Malini) is a South Indian film actress who is famous for her vamp roles and item numbers.
She acted in more than 500 Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi movies.
Jayamalini was born in Sullurpeta, Andhra Pradesh on 15 June 1948

She had a dance number in Shalimar (1978), starring Rex Harrison, Dharmendra and Zeenat Aman, which were in both English and Hindi versions. She also had a raunchy dance number, which was provocatively titled "Mamalu Mamalu Babalu Babulu", in the movie Maha Shaktimaan. Her sister Jyothi Lakshmi was also a cabaret dancer in films.[1]

After she retired from films, she married a police inspector and is settled in Chennai with her two daughters.[2] She has decided that she will not let her daughters enter films.[3] In 2005, the former actress and dancer was busy looking for a writer to help pen her biography.[4]
