Malayalam Actress Biography
Roma Asrani (born August 25, 1984) is an Indian model-turned-actress who works mainly in Malayalam-language films. She made her début in the Telugu film Mr. Errababu in 2005. She has acted in Tamil and Kannada films too.

Roma Asrani was born into a Hindu Sindhi family from Delhi, who later settled in Chennai.[1] Her father Muralidhar and mother Madhu run a wholesale jewelry shop in Chennai.[2]

She made her entry into Malayalam films with the movie Notebook and became very popular after the success of the film. For her performance in Notebook she was adjudged best newcomer by Kerala Film Critics Association, Asianet, Amrita TV and Kalakeralam. Her second film July 4 (2007), however, was a flop. Her movie Chocolate (2007) with Prithviraj was a big hit, and this movie was a turning point in her career. She has also acted in a music album by the band Team Malayalee with popular singer Vineeth Sreenivasan and actor Prithviraj for the number Minnel Azhake.[3]
Roma has also acted in the Telugu movie Mr. Errababu (2005) and the Tamil movie Kathale En Kathale (2006). She made her Kannada début with Aramane (2007), starring Ganesh in the lead.
Ayilya Nair (born 29 March 1987), better known by her stage name Ananya, is an Indian film actress, who appears in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. She made her acting debut in Malayalam with Positive (2008) and debuted the following year in Tamil with Naadodigal, which emerged a critical and commercial success. She currently has a list of films in her hands in Malayalam and Tamil.

Ananya was born as Ayilya to Malayali parents Gopalakrishnan Nair, a noted film producer, and Praseetha in Perumbavoor, Kerala.[2] She has one brother Arjun, who is an engineering student. She appeared as a child artist in one of her father's productions, Pai Brothers (1995).[3] Ananya pursued a B.A. degree in Communicative English at St. Xavier's College, Aluva.[2][3] During her childhood, she was an archer and won the State Championship.[4] While representing her college in a television reality show "Star Wars",[2] she was spotted by various directors and received acting offers. After declining five projects, she decided to give it a try, accepting to act in Positive.[3]

Her screenname changed to Ananya, when she was working in her debut Tamil film Naadodigal.[4] The film was a high commercial success,[5] and Ananya rose to fame, with her performance in the film being appreciated.[6] She went on to reprise the same role in its Malayalam remake Ithu Nammude Katha. The film Shikkar alongside Mohanlal, gave her a big break in Malayalam. She did some thrilling scenes in the climax of the movie Shikkar that impressed Mohanlal, which made him call her the "Vijayashanti" of Malayalam.[7] She also played a supporting role in Kandahar, which saw her sharing screen space with Mohanlal, Sunil Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan.[8] In 2011, Ananya played one of the female lead roles in Engeyum Eppodhum, which received rave reviews and became a sleeper hit.[9][10] Ananya later stated, "I am in no hurry. I want to wait and watch and choose my projects with care. I have been getting a lot of offers from Tamil especially after Engeyum Eppodhum became a big success".[11]

Gopika is a Malayalam and Tamil actress well known for her bright and a cheerful smile. She is from Ollur, a small town in Kerala. She is a young and beautiful actress with lot of promise.

Gopika – Family background and early life:
Gopika is a Malayalam actress born in a small town in Kerala. Her parents Anto Francis and Dessy Hunto named her as "Gerly". She has only one sister, Klinli. After completing her 12th standard in St. Raphel’s, Ollur she did her sociology from the Calicut University. She is also talented in classical dance which she learnt from her teacher Kamalam.

She did her 12th standard in St.Raphel’s, Ollur and took up sociology at Calicut University. She had so many fans for her beauty and grace and she even got Miss College title during her farewell. This simple chirpy beauty is comfortable with almost all the South Indian languages (Yes, she did her own dubbing for her movies in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil). But did this cutest Malayalee ‘Girly’ ever had a plan for acting in movies? No, definitely not. Her ambition was to become an air hostess. But fate had better plans for her.
Gopika – Entry into films:
It was her Miss Trichur beauty contest that showcased her to light, changing her plan of action. Though she did not win the title, even her getting first runner up made her so popular and she was invited into the modeling world with a few assignments. Her face became popular in many magazines and it was director Tulasi Das who gave her a debut in his “Pranayamanithooval” and changed Girly into “Gopika”.
Gopika - Career:
Crowned as Miss College during her farewell, she was admired for her beauty and charming smile. She aimed to be an airhostess but landed into the film industry with great movies to her credit such as Kanaa Kanden, Thotti Jaya, Autograph, 4 students, Ponniyin Selvan. She claims that she never wanted to be an actress.
She did her own dubbing for her movies in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil. The beauty contest Miss Thrisoor was turning point in her life. Though she did not win the title she stood as the first runner up in the contest which gained her few modeling assignments.

Director Tulasi Das gave her a debut in his “Pranayamanithooval” which did not do well but got her recognition in the film industry. She got a second movie “For the People” which was a blockbuster and had its prints dubbed in many different Indian Languages. The movie was directed by Jayaraj and she acted opposite Bharath. The song “Lejjavathi Ninda Kalla Kadaikkannil” of the movie “For the People” was also a big hit in Kerala. Renowned Tamil movie director, Cheran singed her up for his movie Autograph which was another big hit in 2004.She also enacted in Kana Kandein.

Among her other movies she has acted in four Malayalam films, Kanada film “Kanasina Loga” and the Telgu remake of “Azhagi”. Her Telgu film Leta Manasulu crashed the box office was directed by Raju Upati. She is going to star in the Malayalam movie “Kirtichakra” opposite Mohanlal, the Malayalam super star. Directed by Major Ravi the movie tells the story about a soldier against the backdrop of Kargil war. Apart from Kirtichakra she is also doing another movie with Dileep “Pachakuthira”. Her previous movie with Dileep “Chahnthupottu” was a big hit.

In the Tamil film industry she is working on “Ashokamitran” staring opposite Dhanush. She is now set to star in Suresh Gopi’s, Janman. She will be one of the movie’s three heroines .
